The DAC7565 is a low-power, voltage-output.four-channel,12-bit digital-to-analog converter (DAC)The device includes a 2.5V, 2ppm/C internalreference (enabled by default), giving a full-scaleoutput voltage range of 2.5V. The internal referencehas an initial accuracy of 0.02% and can source up to20mA at the VREFH/VREFOUT pin. The device ismonotonic,provides very good linearity, andminimizes undesired code-to-code transient voltagesglitch). The DAC7565 uses a versatile 3-wire seriainterface that operates at clock rates up to 50MHzThe interface is compatible with standard SPITMQSPITM,Microwire Tm, and digital signal processor(DSP) interfaces.
The DAC7565 incorporates a power-on-reset circuitthat ensures the DAC output powers up at eitherzero-scale or mid-scale until a valid code is written tothe device. The device contains a power-downfeature, accessed over the serial interface thatreduces the current consumption of the device to1.3uA at 5V. Power consumption is 2.9mW at 3Vreducing to 1.5uW in power-down mode. The lowpower consumption, internal reference, and smalfootprint make this device ideal for portable.battery-operated equipment.
The DAC7565 is drop-in and functionally compatiblewith the DAC8165 and DAC8565,and functionallycompatible with the DAC7564.DAC8164 andDAC8564. All these devices are available in aTSSOP-16 package.
