ADI Semiconductor, the world's second largest analog IC maker, reported stellar quarterly revenue of $3.25 billion, up 21 percent year-over-year, and forecast flat revenue for the February-April quarter, with continued growth in industrial and automotive chips and a downturn in communications and consumer products. On the other hand, analog IC leader Deyi (TI) saw its performance decline in the fourth quarter of 2022, but maintained growth in industrial and automotive applications.
According to IC designers, compared with the consumer electronics supply and demand reversal, the current industrial control and automotive chip demand still maintains high-end, although the delivery has been reduced, but still up to 8 to 12 months, the second factory quotation has not seen loose, clearly the two areas of long-term demand robust.
